Senior Software Engineer

Spring Boot and Quarkus services handling more than 1 billion transactions per day. Java on GCP and Kubernetes, with React/TypeScript for customer-facing and internal tools.

• Designed and built a structured logging platform — shared JSON library, schema tooling, safe migrations, and real-time plus batched warehouse ingestion — cutting annual cloud costs by more than $1M. Wrote about it in When Logging Became a Scaling Problem.
• Led five epics across two teams to build the streaming, caching, and recovery systems behind real-time delivery speed and availability on a product surface with roughly 1.6 billion annual visits.
• Led architecture, specification, and ticket breakdown for a self-service scoring configuration system spanning several services — so business users can change scoring weights without an engineering deployment.
• Contributed to a Java optimization library that uses a mixed-integer solver to balance delivery speed, cost, consolidation, and inventory health for fulfillment decisions.
• Earlier: built a real-time estimated delivery date feature for millions of daily users; Java microservices for logistics; Cassandra Graph on GKE; cloud migration with Kubernetes; and React tools for ops teams.

Share practical workflows for using Cursor agents, cloud agents, Bugbot, browser tools, and code review on production software.

• Use Cursor daily to plan, build, debug, and review client and personal products — often coordinating several agents across separate tasks.
• Published a detailed walkthrough of how I used Cursor to scope and deliver a custom CMS for a client — How I Use Cursor.
• Planned and hosted community building events such as Cafe Cursor.

Founder

A small product studio where I take products from idea through design, implementation, deployment, and support — on my own time, alongside the day job.

• Designed, prototyped, and built Tally Budget from scratch with Expo and Supabase — idea to App Store in a few weeks.
• Built OnlyFootballFans, a fantasy football league platform with an in-product commissioner agent for disputes and rule lookups — Next.js, Convex, and AI SDK.
• Built a custom Next.js and Convex CMS for Lula Lake Sound, so the studio can manage site content, equipment, images, and inquiries without a developer in the loop.
• Built Only Pools, an NFL survival and confidence-pools product used by active pool groups — Next.js, Convex, Clerk, and live sports data.
